Head of HR Mining Company
Position Reference: HRJK010

Our client is a fast-growing coal and nickel ore mining company based in Indonesia, with operation covers several mine sites in Indonesia, mainly Central Kalimantan and South East Sulawesi. As a trusted, reliable, and sustainable mining company, their customers include domestic and international markets.

They are currently looking for an HR leader eager to develop and further their mining industry career. The position will report directly to the Director of Operation. We encourage you to apply if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Proficient and robust in developing KPI matrix for the companies
  • Strong in planning and executing process improvement throughout the company.
  • Develop and plan HR strategy by aligning with the current and long-term business activities and objectives;
  • Able to provide valuable insight and advice to the Board of Director for strategic improvements.
  • Able to initiate, advocate, and carry on positive changes throughout the company 

 Within the HR Function

  • Able to implement and execute HR strategies through the day to day activities, and identify any necessary improvements in the HR department;
  • Develop and improve the current organisation chart and detailed job description in each department at Head office and on-site office
  • Provide strong leadership to the HR team in both the head office and on-site office 
  • Oversee payroll/HRIS acquisition and upgrade.
  • Able to maintain a professional relationship with the executives, area/operational managers, communicate essential HR trend/update/new regulations, assist in conflict resolution, and provide HR advice to achieve business objectives;
  • Able to network with other mining companies, especially for HR purpose

  • Possess strong communication skills and articulate and detail-oriented.
  • Successfully execute conflict management/resolutions situations
  • In-depth understanding, successful and effective execution of the change management process.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a strong motivator 
  • Able to develop and coach people from different levels within the companies. 

Essential requirements

  • 10+ years experience Human Resources within the mining industry
  • An in-depth understanding of Indonesian employment laws and regulations and taxation related to payroll, especially related to the mining industry
  • Qualification in relevant degree in Human Resources
  • Able to travel to sites offices in other provinces
  • Excellent communication in English and Indonesian language.
